The Council of the Rizarios Ecclesiastical School on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the burial of our Holy Father Nectarios, Metropolitan of Pentapolis, the miracle-worker and director of the R.E.S. during the years 1894-1908, 14 years, unanimously decided:

To award His Eminence, Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia, a graduate of the Rizarius Ecclesiastical School, the Order and Medal of St. Nektarios, as a mark of honour for the praiseworthy work he has done for the sake of Orthodoxy and Hellenism, and as a recognition of his work by the R.E.S, as a Hierarch, a theologian and scholar, whose presence honours the Hierarchy of our Orthodox Christian Church.

The award ceremony took place on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the Holy Church of St. George of the Rizarios Ecclesiastical School, Old School, during the High Holy Mass celebrated by His Eminence, Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden, with the permission and blessing of His Beatitude, Archbishop Jerome II of Athens and All Greece.

His Eminence was awarded the Order of St. Nektarios by the President of the Multimunicipal Council, Mr. Panagiotis Tsakiris, and by Councillor Mr. Dimitrios Anagnostopoulos, with the Medal of St. Nektarios.
