The inscription of Zagori as a cultural landscape on the UNESCO World Heritage List marks the protection of the cultural and natural environment, as a result of the interaction between man and nature. The almost intact natural environment is home to the unique architecture of the stone-built settlements of the area. A representative example of Zagori architecture is the Pantazi Mansion, a traditional house in Monodendri Zagori.
Using modern technological tools and unmanned vehicles (drones), the traditional house was scanned and three-dimensional representations of various architectural elements were created. Through a digital 3D puzzle, the stages, methods and materials of construction are presented.
The ultimate purpose of this application is the preservation and promotion of the traditional Zagorian architecture, the art of the great stone builders of Epirus.
